Job Details
- Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Registered Nurse
- Specialty: Medical-Surgical Nursing (Med/Surg)
- Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
- Start Date: ASAP
- Setting: General medical-surgical / swing bed level of care
- Additional Notes: Floating and call may be required based on census and clinical needs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to provide safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Comfort with floating within scope of practice and clinical competency
- Ability to complete New Mexico fingerprinting requirements prior to start
- Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver skilled nursing care to Med/Surg and swing bed patients
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Administer medications and treatments according to plan of care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the medical record
- Float as needed within scope of practice and clinical competency
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, safety, and quality care throughout the assignment
