Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract in Great Bend, Kansas

Job Details
- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Contract
- Start Date: 10/11/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 – $2,600
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: Participation in holiday rotation
- On-Call: 2-3 on-call shifts per month
- Location: Great Bend, KS 67530
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical and care for pediatric patients as needed
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Completion of a fetal monitoring course (intermediate or advanced) within the past 24 months
- Commitment to obtain PALS prior to start if not already held
- EPIC experience is highly preferred
- Travel nurse experience and prior rural hospital experience are a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit
- Support patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
- Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Assist with cross-coverage needs in Medical-Surgical and pediatric care settings when assigned
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure smooth, patient-centered care delivery
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow unit protocols
- Adapt to night-shift workflow while delivering dependable, team-oriented care
