Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) Job in Columbus, Ohio

Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940-$2,040
- Employment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job
- Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele)
- Setting: 12-bed adult inpatient unit focused on comfort, dignity, and symptom management
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week; 36 hours per week
- Duration: 16 weeks
- Start Date: 10/19/2026
- Location: Columbus, OH 43210
- Patient Ratio: 4:1 on days, nights, and weekends
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in the specialty area
- Current acute care experience within the last 12 months required
- Active compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred/required per unit needs
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
- Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Education from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
- Deliver symptom management support for pain, nausea/vomiting, fatigue, and other complex needs
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, manage IV access, and support safe, effective treatment plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, social services, and rapid response resources
- Support comfort-focused care while maintaining clinical excellence and patient dignity
- Float as needed to similar or lower-acuity units based on staffing needs
- Document accurately and efficiently in Epic
