Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Job in Madison, WI
Travel to Madison, Wisconsin, for a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse assignment in a modern, patient-focused hospital. - Shift: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekend Rotation: Two weekends per six-week schedule period, with additional weekends available if desired
- Orientation: 20 hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 – $2,250
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Additional Requirement: Telemetry exam required prior to start
Job Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care Registered Nurse experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
- Prior Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred
- Experience with Epic charting system required
- BLS certification through AHA required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Ability to pass a telemetry assessment before start
- Willingness to float as needed
- Ability to work night shifts and participate in weekend and holiday rotations as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition promptly
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing standards
- Support patients with a variety of complex acute care needs, including respiratory support, wound care, IV therapy, and post-operative recovery
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care team members to promote safe, effective patient care
- Document accurately in Epic and maintain thorough, timely charting
- Respond appropriately to telemetry findings and escalate concerns when indicated
- Adapt to changing patient assignments and float to meet unit needs
- Deliver compassionate care while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced hospital environment
