- Float Requirement: Yes, as needed
- Charting System: Epic EMR experience required
Job Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience within the last 3 years in the specialty
- Prior Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Epic experience required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Must successfully pass a telemetry exam prior to start
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs
- Travel nursing experience required
- Must be comfortable floating to similar units as needed
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patient populations
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments in accordance with clinical standards
- Perform assessments, document accurately in Epic, and communicate patient updates to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff to support positive patient outcomes
- Assist with Med/Surg Tele procedures and interventions, including oxygen therapy, wound care, IV management, and telemetry monitoring
- Support adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of medical and post-surgical needs
- Float to similar nursing units as needed while maintaining flexibility and professionalism
- Maintain compliance with all testing and assignment requirements prior to start
