Job Details
- Setting: Home Health
- Employment Type: Travel Assignment
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Shift Duration: 8 hours
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310 – $2,480
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Every 4th or 5th weekend for orthopedic cases only
- Additional Support: Mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate
Physical Therapist Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience preferred
- Home health PT experience preferred
- Active Virginia Physical Therapist license required at time of submission
- CPR certification required
- Electronic charting experience with MatrixCare or Epic preferred, but not required
- Ability to provide high-quality patient care in the home setting
- Must have no prior license or background issues
- Current address must be included with submission
Responsibilities
- Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments in the home setting
- Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide patient and caregiver education to support recovery, independence, and home safety
- Help restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate care as needed
- Document care accurately and thoroughly according to policy and home health guidelines
- Direct patient participation in therapeutic tasks to reinforce progress and improve performance
- Support orthopedic cases during scheduled weekend coverage when assigned
