Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse – Marquette, Michigan | 13-Week Night Shift Assignment
Bring your med/surg expertise to a dynamic travel nursing assignment in Marquette, Michigan, located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Marquette is the largest community in the peninsula and is home to Northern Michigan University. This Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse opportunity offers the chance to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced acute care environment while supporting adult and geriatric patients.
Job Details

- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Weekend Rotation: Rotating weekends
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 – $2,270
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Orientation: Bi-weekly
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 5:1 to 6:1
Job Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required prior to start
- Medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- ACLS certification required
- BSN preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
- Ability to work independently and remain effective in a fast-paced hospital nursing environment
- Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations preferred
- Comfort working with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is helpful
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to medical/surgical patients
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the EHR
- Use sound clinical judgment while working with minimal supervision
- Maintain professionalism and adapt to the needs of a busy acute care unit
