Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Winchester, VA
Travel RN job in Winchester, Virginia: Join a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry float pool environment as a Registered Nurse supporting acute care patients in a well-established 495-bed, Level II Trauma Center.
This travel nursing opportunity is ideal for an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry RN with strong cardiac and telemetry skills who enjoys working in a collaborative acute care setting. Job Details

Job Requirements
- Active RN license in Virginia or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
- Cardiac care experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification from AHA required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Ability to float to other units as needed
- Strong adaptability and confidence in a fast-paced acute care environment
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult acute care patients in Med/Surg Telemetry and cardiac settings
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, coordinated patient care
- Float to designated units based on patient care needs within the hospital
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in EPIC
- Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care standards
- Work every other weekend and selected holidays as scheduled
