Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU/Telemetry) – Travel Nursing Job in Barberton, Ohio

- Position: PCU Registered Nurse / Telemetry RN
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 10/18/2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Setting: 34-bed cardiac PCU / telemetry stroke overflow unit
- Location: Barberton, OH 44203
- Work Environment: Fast-paced acute care setting with patient ratios of 1:4/5
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of recent PCU, Progressive Care, or Telemetry RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and eligibility to work in Ohio
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months
- Recent phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months
- Ability to start and maintain IVs
- Comfortable managing cardiac drips and progressive care patients
- Willingness to float as needed
- Accredited nursing degree from an ACEN- or CCNE-approved program
- Solid black scrubs required
- Open availability for interview scheduling
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac and telemetry patients in a dynamic PCU environment
- Monitor patient status, interpret telemetry data, and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Administer and manage cardiac drips and other ordered therapies
- Perform phlebotomy and maintain vascular access as needed
- Support stroke overflow and progressive care patients using strong clinical judgment
- Collaborate with the care team to promote safe, efficient patient flow
- Float to other units when needed to support department needs
- Document accurately and efficiently using Epic
