Job Requirements
- Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required
- Experience in ICU, general floors, and the Emergency Department preferred
- NICU and pediatric exposure preferred, with enough experience to assist in ED coverage
- Ability to follow established protocols, policies, and procedures in a hospital environment
- Comfort working in a collaborative, patient-focused setting
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care to inpatients and outpatients
- Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures
- Administer medicated aerosols via compressed gas delivery systems
- Maintain and manage patient airways
- Support ventilator management and related respiratory therapies
- Perform intubation support and obtain blood gases as needed
- Deliver responsive, protocol-driven care in a busy acute care hospital setting
- Collaborate with the care team to support quality patient outcomes
