Job Details
- Location: Honolulu, HI 96819
- Setting: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: August 31, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:15 PM to 7:45 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
NICU RN Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent, full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Level III NICU experience preferred
- ACLS certification required
NICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and highly skilled nursing care to critically ill newborns in the NICU
- Monitor infants closely and respond quickly to changes in clinical condition
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal outcomes
- Administer medications, maintain accurate documentation, and follow established clinical protocols
- Support families through education, communication, and reassurance during a stressful time
- Maintain a calm, organized, and detail-oriented approach in a high-acuity neonatal care environment
