Job Details
- Specialty: Med/Surg Telemetry RN
- Setting: Acute care hospital
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Unit Size: 40 beds
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Float Expectation: May float to other hospital units as needed
- Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ – a scenic destination with lake views, mountain backdrops, and easy access to outdoor recreation and travel adventures
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
- Telemetry nursing experience required
- Ability to manage a 1:6 patient ratio with confidence
- ACLS certification required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a positive, compassionate attitude
- Associate degree in Nursing required
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled bedside care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor telemetry findings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Care for patients with a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses, including CHF, CKD, alcohol withdrawal, SIRS, and GI bleeding
- Support recovery for total joint, surgical, and acute-on-chronic medical patients
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, efficient, patient-centered care
- Float to other hospital units when needed, based on patient care priorities and facility needs
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold high standards of nursing practice
- Contribute to a positive unit culture through teamwork, professionalism, and reliability
