Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level III or Level IV NICU
- Strong neonatal assessment, critical thinking, and clinical judgment skills
- Ability to provide safe, age-appropriate care in a fast-paced neonatal care environment
- Excellent documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of patient safety standards, infection control practices, and evidence-based nursing care
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough neonatal assessments and monitor patient status closely in the NICU
- Deliver direct nursing care to high-acuity NICU patients based on unit needs and acuity
- Maintain accurate, timely charting throughout the patient care process
- Support families with professional, compassionate communication and education
- Follow safety protocols, including proper identification and universal precautions
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support the best outcomes for newborns
- Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
