Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR or cardiac operating room setting
- Current CST certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong cardiac surgery and open-heart surgery experience required
- Thoracic da Vinci experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with strong attention to detail
- Travel candidates must submit required license and certifications with application materials
- Candidate must live more than 50 miles from the facility
- Driver’s license and permanent home address must match submission requirements
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons by preparing the surgical field and maintaining a sterile operating room environment
- Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment during cardiovascular and open-heart procedures
- Support smooth workflow throughout complex cardiac surgery cases
- Assist with room turnover to help keep cases moving efficiently
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Respond to call requirements as needed
- Provide strong technical support in high-acuity cardiovascular procedures
