Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
- Setting: Emergency Department / Emergency Room
- Location: Des Moines, Iowa
- Duration: 26 weeks
- Start Date: October 5, 2026
- End Date: April 4, 2027
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,040-$2,150
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room or acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs, priorities, and emergency department workflow
- Willingness to work every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Perform patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate timely patient care
- Respond quickly and calmly to urgent and emergent situations
- Document care accurately and maintain patient safety standards
- Support smooth patient flow while delivering compassionate, efficient emergency nursing care
