Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment in Pearland, TX

Job Details

- Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)
- Location: Pearland, TX
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 – $1,970
- Start Date: September 28, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: Primarily 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Shift Duration: 10-hour day shifts
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week; may consider 4 x 10-hour shifts if department staffing allows
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- On-Call: Call coverage included with rotation; approximately 5 call shifts with one weekend and one weekday evening coverage
- Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Services
- EMR: Meditech
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- At least 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Experience with Meditech preferred
- Prior experience in a similar surgical or perioperative setting preferred
- Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
- Positive attitude with a proactive and efficient workflow
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care in the operating room across a variety of surgical cases
- Support procedures including orthopedic, general, colorectal, urological, and gynecological surgery
- Assist with robotic, laparoscopic, and open surgical cases
- Pull and prepare case carts as needed
- Coordinate family updates by phone or secure messaging when appropriate
- Provide lunch and break relief for the surgical team
- Act as a second nurse or support for after-hours recovery coverage
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care
