- Duration: 13 weeks, with 16 weeks preferred
- Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM (12-hour night shifts)
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holiday
- Call Requirement: 1 eight-hour call shift per 4-week schedule
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,680 – $1,770
- Environment: High-acuity emergency department
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
- Active Virginia RN license or compact state eligibility
- Epic experience required
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA)
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency care setting
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with urgent and emergent needs
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and timely interventions in the Emergency Department
- Administer medications, treatments, and emergency nursing procedures as indicated
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold patient safety standards
- Support efficient patient flow while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
