- Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour days
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570-$1,650
- Patient Ratios: 4:1 or 5:1
- Charting System: Meditech
- Floating: May float to ICU or Med-Surg

Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- At least 1 year of recent progressive care, telemetry, or similar acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to interpret EKGs confidently
- Experience titrating cardiac medications preferred
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Team-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate patient care for progressive care patients with varying acuity levels
- Monitor patient status closely and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Interpret EKG rhythms and assist with cardiac medication titration as needed
- Perform and support occasional procedures such as paracentesis or thoracentesis
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the EMR
- Maintain professionalism while floating to ICU or Med-Surg when needed
- Contribute to a positive, team-centered unit culture focused on excellent acute care
