Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Travel) – Night Shift | Asheville, NC
Travel ER RN opportunity in Asheville, North Carolina. Join a fast-paced emergency department where you’ll provide high-quality patient care in a highly collaborative, high-acuity environment. - Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Location: Asheville, NC 28801
- Setting: High-volume, high-acuity emergency department
- Start Date: 09/28/2026
- End Date: 12/28/2026
- Schedule Expectations: Every other weekend availability required; scheduling is based on department needs
- Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to all areas within the ED as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Room or Emergency Department setting
- Experience in a Level II trauma center and/or comprehensive stroke center preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented emergency healthcare environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coach or give feedback in real time
- Required certifications before start: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
- ENPC required within 90 days of hire
- Comfort working across all areas of the ED
- Experience with Cerner preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with varying acuity levels
- Assess, monitor, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition in a high-acuity ED
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary care team to support efficient patient flow
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a busy and diverse clinical setting
- Support behavioral holds and higher-acuity assignments as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold departmental standards
- Practice respectful communication and maintain a strong commitment to patient experience
- Adapt to changing unit needs and contribute to a positive, supportive team culture
