Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience within the last 3 years
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where care is provided
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- ACLS certification preferred/required for consideration
- Labor & Delivery RN experience strongly preferred
- High-risk Labor & Delivery experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns in a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in maternal and fetal conditions
- Support deliveries and assist with procedures as needed within the scope of an L&D RN
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and the care team to promote positive patient outcomes
- Deliver education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the birthing process
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold hospital standards for quality, safety, and patient care
