• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130-$2,280
• Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Location: Midland, TX 79701

• Duration: 20 weeks
• Shift: 5 shifts per week, 8-hour day shifts (08:00 – 16:30)
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Schedule Notes: Weekend and on-call coverage required; some holidays expected
• Charting System: Cerner preferred

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Speech-Language Pathology experience required
• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license required before start
• Pending Texas license may be accepted with submission, but must be active by the start date
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program required
• BLS certification required
• Experience in acute care, bedside swallow evaluations, dysphagia management, and hospital-based therapy preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Cerner experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized goals and treatment plans
• Administer speech-language therapy treatments, modalities, procedures, and protocols according to department guidelines
• Perform bedside swallow evaluations and support dysphagia management in the acute care setting
• Provide accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record
• Communicate patient progress and care plans with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
• Support teamwork and maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
• Work with a broad patient population, including neonates, adults, and geriatrics
• Provide weekend and on-call coverage as needed
• Continue professional development and contribute to high-quality patient care
