Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Location: Asheville, NC 28801
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 – $1,730
- Schedule: Every other weekend; scheduling based on department needs
- Setting: High-volume Emergency Department
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department experience
- Experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced ED environment preferred
- Comfort working in all areas of the Emergency Department
- Strong teamwork mentality and the ability to coach or provide real-time feedback
- Required certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- CPI
- NIHSS
- ENPC within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care across all areas of the ED
- Prioritize and manage patient flow in a busy, high-volume Emergency Department
- Collaborate closely with physicians, technicians, clerks, and fellow nurses to support excellent patient outcomes
- Monitor patients, respond quickly to changing conditions, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Support a respectful, patient-centered experience with clear communication and timely updates
- Use strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and flexibility to adapt to department needs
- Promote a positive team environment rooted in professionalism and mutual support
