Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810 – $1,940
• Setting: Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU), hospital environment
• Location: Arroyo Grande, CA 93420
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week
• Hours per Week: 40
• Float Requirement: No floating to other units
• EMR: Cerner
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs
• Parking: Convenient parking located adjacent to the unit

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist (PT) experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting
• Minimum 2 years of relevant physical therapy experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced patient care environment
• Experience using Cerner is a plus
• Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Physical Therapy Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in the acute rehabilitation setting
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support recovery, mobility, and functional goals
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the rehabilitation care team to support safe discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, exercises, and functional progress
• Maintain high standards of clinical care, safety, and professionalism
