Job Details

- Setting: Emergency Department / ER Nursing
- Shift: 12-hour nights
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 7/29/2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,640 – $1,730
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, unless scheduled as a weekender
- Orientation: Bi-weekly
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients, with some pediatric care
- Documentation System: ED Paragon
Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2-3+ years of recent Emergency Department or ER nursing experience
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
- ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required at minimum; additional education welcome
- Ability to safely manage patients across a range of acuity levels in a busy emergency setting
- Strong critical thinking skills and confidence recognizing changes in patient condition
- Team-oriented, friendly, hardworking, and adaptable personality
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency nursing care
- Assess, monitor, and respond quickly to changes in patient status
- Care for patients presenting with chest pain, abdominal pain, psychiatric concerns, and other emergency conditions
- Work effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support timely treatment
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Provide care for a diverse patient population in a 17-bed Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Participate in self-scheduling and collaborate with the team to support staffing needs
