Travel OR Tech / Certified Surgical Technologist – CVOR Assignment in Corpus Christi, TX

We are seeking an experienced OR Tech / Surgical Technologist for a travel CVOR assignment.
Job Details

- Location: Corpus Christi, TX 78412
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,470 – $1,580
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Call Coverage: Some Thursday call coverage required; monthly call rotation of approximately 10-12 call days
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Openings: 2 positions available
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of OR/CVOR experience preferred
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
- Open-heart surgery scrub experience required
- Experience with cardiac surgery and vascular surgical procedures required
- Ability to take call and respond within the required timeframe
- Comfort working independently in a high-acuity cardiovascular operating room
- Must maintain competencies for cardiovascular surgical procedures
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and the OR team during cardiovascular and general operating room cases
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field for complex surgical procedures
- Provide scrub support for procedures such as CABG, valve repair and replacement, TAVR, aortic aneurysm repairs, vascular surgery, and open-heart cases
- Work with advanced equipment including heart-lung bypass systems, surgical microscopes, endoscopic vein harvesting equipment, and cell saver technology
- Support safe, efficient workflow in a fast-paced CVOR environment
- Participate in the scheduled call rotation and respond to call-back needs as required
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, RNs, anesthesia providers, perfusionists, and surgical assistants
