- Shift: 12-hour nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 – $1,730
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs
- Unit Type: Step Down / PCU
- Patient Ratio: 5:1
- Travel Requirement: Permanent residence must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of recent PCU, Step Down, Progressive Care, or similar acute care experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- PALS certification, or ability to obtain within the first 3 weeks of arrival
- Ability to work consistent night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and attention to detail
- Comfortable providing care in a high-acuity Progressive Care Unit / Step Down setting
- Meets travel nurse eligibility requirements
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU and Step Down patients
- Monitor patient condition, assess changes, and promptly escalate concerns as needed
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to support optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation throughout the shift
- Deliver patient and family education with professionalism and compassion
- Support a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Adapt to patient needs while maintaining excellent quality of care during overnight shifts
