Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience required
- Demonstrated skill level 3 or higher in joint, neuro, orthopedics, and vascular procedures
- Broad surgical knowledge across general surgery, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma
- Experience working in a high-acuity surgical setting with strong perioperative clinical skills
- Ability to adapt to a variable schedule and support call coverage
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking skills
- Comfortable working with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality nursing care in the operating room
- Assist with a wide range of surgical procedures and specialty service lines
- Prepare the OR for cases, support surgeons and surgical teams, and maintain a smooth workflow
- Monitor patient status, uphold sterile technique, and respond appropriately to changing intraoperative needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to help deliver excellent patient outcomes
- Float to other departments as needed based on unit needs
- Promote efficiency, patient safety, and quality care throughout the perioperative process
