Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Asheville, North Carolina

Job Details
- Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina (Asheville, NC)
- Start Date: 09/07/2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Hours Per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Weekend/On-Call: Not required; available upon approval
- Floating: May float to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Experience with high-risk obstetric patient care
- Ability to provide immediate newborn care
- Required certifications: NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- Preferred: Circulating experience in Labor & Delivery or perioperative settings
- Strong communication skills with an outgoing, friendly, and adaptable approach
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, and skilled nursing care to laboring patients and newborns
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections in a high-acuity clinical setting
- Support care for D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst procedures
- Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately using electronic fetal monitoring
- Deliver immediate newborn care and support maternal-newborn health outcomes
- Collaborate closely with the charge nurse, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and follow unit policies, workflows, and safety standards
