Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) setting
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment, telemetry interpretation, and communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented hospital environment
Key Responsibilities (Telemetry Nurse)
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry systems and report changes promptly to the healthcare team
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per provider orders
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families to optimize patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and safe transitions of care
