Travel Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) – Louisville, KY 40217
Travel Registered Nurse opportunity in Louisville, Kentucky: join a dynamic Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting. - Shift Schedule: 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., every other weekend
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,070 – $2,180
- Work Setting: On-site acute care hospital
Job Requirements
- Active RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute inpatient Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Epic experience required
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to float within scope as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient and family-centered nursing care
- Perform thorough assessments and reassessments based on patient condition and policy
- Develop, prioritize, implement, and revise individualized plans of care
- Monitor and document patient responses to interventions and clinical changes
- Educate patients and families throughout the stay and at discharge
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes
- Delegate appropriately to licensed and unlicensed personnel
- Support teamwork, quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance
- Serve as a mentor and promote professional growth within the unit
