Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Jobs – Outpatient Pediatrics in Pomona, CA
Join a collaborative rehabilitation team as a travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Pomona, California. This 13-week outpatient pediatric speech therapy contract offers an opportunity to evaluate and treat pediatric patients while supporting meaningful communication, cognitive, voice, and swallowing outcomes. Travel SLP Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,100-$2,260
- Healthcare Setting: Outpatient pediatric speech-language pathology and speech therapy
- Location: Pomona, California, in the Inland Empire
- Start Date: January 4, 2027
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, through April 5, 2027
- Schedule: Up to 5 shifts per week
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts, typically 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
- Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
- Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend
- Dress Code: Business casual or scrubs with a white lab coat
Speech-Language Pathologist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional Speech-Language Pathology experience
- Experience in outpatient practice and adult inpatient acute care
- Master’s degree or equivalent postgraduate education qualifying for SLP licensure
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Modified Barium Swallow Study (MBSS) experience or competency
- Experience evaluating and treating pediatric patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, swallowing, and neurological conditions
- Strong communication, clinical documentation, clinical judgment, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Outpatient Pediatric SLP Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations for pediatric patients
- Develop individualized pediatric speech therapy treatment plans and make appropriate clinical recommendations
- Provide evidence-based therapy for communication, neurological, and swallowing disorders
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches as clinically indicated
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, therapeutic techniques, and follow-up care
- Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and coordinate care with the rehabilitation team
- Participate in the weekend rotation and maintain professional standards throughout patient care
