MRI Technologist Travel Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,340-$2,510
• Location: Spokane Valley, WA
• Assignment Type: MRI technologist travel contract

• End Date: January 30, 2027
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts; typically Sunday-Tuesday, though days may vary
• Call: Weekend call coverage from the end of the shift until the following morning may be required
• Department: Hospital MRI imaging
• Technology: GE 1.5T MRI experience required; Altea MRI system
• Documentation and Equipment: Epic EMR and Alaris IV pumps

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of MRI technologist or MRI tech experience
• ARRT certification in MRI or ARMRIT certification
• Current BLS certification
• Valid Washington State license or authorization to practice as required
• Recent experience performing general MRI examinations, including musculoskeletal, body, neuro, and cardiac studies
• Trauma and hospital imaging experience preferred
• Proficiency with IV starts
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with patients and the care team
• Comfort caring for ICU, ER, inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, altered mental status, and occasionally combative patients

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform safe, high-quality MRI examinations for approximately 15-20 patients per day
• Provide diagnostic imaging services for ICU, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, trauma, and altered mental status patients
• Complete general, musculoskeletal, body, neurological, and cardiac MRI studies
• Screen patients for MRI safety, verify orders, explain procedures, and promote patient comfort
• Start IVs and administer contrast-related services in accordance with applicable protocols and scope of practice
• Operate GE 1.5T equipment and the Altea MRI system while following department safety standards
• Recognize and respond appropriately to patient needs, including those involving trauma, confusion, or combative behavior
• Document examinations accurately in Epic and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the imaging team
• Participate in scheduled weekend call coverage as assigned
