Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract – Night Shift in Elmira, NY
Join a fast-paced 50-bed emergency department as an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) on a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Elmira, New York. Provide compassionate, clinically focused care to patients with urgent and emergent needs while collaborating with an interdisciplinary emergency care team. Travel Nursing Job Details

- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract

- End Date: February 6, 2027
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Healthcare Setting: 50-bed Emergency Department
- Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 5:1
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090-$2,200

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in New York
- At least 1 year of recent emergency department or emergency room nursing experience
- Experience providing patient care in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency setting
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, triage, and critical-thinking skills
- Current resume and professional references
- Ability to complete required facility competency and screening requirements
Emergency Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and provide nursing care to patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
- Perform and document ongoing nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary emergency care team to coordinate timely treatment
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, follow-up care, and discharge instructions
- Support a safe, organized, and efficient emergency department environment during overnight operations
