Travel Nursing Job Details

- Job Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460-$1,540
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia 30342
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 23, 2027
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours guaranteed weekly
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
- Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m., Monday through Friday scheduling
- Work Setting: On-site Extended Recovery unit
- Holiday Availability: Ability to work two major holidays and one minor holiday during the assignment, as scheduled
Travel RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure appropriate for practice in Georgia
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical nursing, Extended Recovery, or a comparable acute-care specialty
- Strong acute-care patient assessment, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet the assignment’s holiday expectations
Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from procedures and surgeries
- Perform focused nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly identify changes in condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established protocols
- Manage post-procedural recovery needs, including pain, nausea, airway, and vital-sign monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding recovery instructions, medications, and follow-up care
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
