Job Description
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift Travel Nursing Contract
Join a focused nursing team as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) supporting emergency department and swing-bed services in Rangely, Colorado. This 13-week travel nursing contract offers consistent 12-hour night shifts and the opportunity to practice in a critical access hospital within a close-knit Western Colorado community known for its scenic landscapes and outdoor recreation.
Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010
- Location: Rangely, Colorado
- Healthcare Setting: Critical access hospital; emergency room and swing-bed services
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: December 7, 2026
- End Date: March 8, 2027

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Colorado
- At least 1 year of recent emergency department, acute care, critical access, or swing-bed nursing experience
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate care during overnight emergency department shifts
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with providers and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Emergency Department Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and care for patients presenting to the emergency department
- Recognize changes in patient condition and respond promptly to urgent and emergent needs
- Administer medications and treatments, perform nursing procedures, and monitor patient responses
- Provide nursing care for patients admitted to swing-bed services
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
- Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered environment throughout each night shift
