• Location: Red Bud, Illinois
• Setting: Hospital-based outpatient physical therapy with occasional inpatient evaluation support
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990-$2,140
• Assignment: 12-week travel physical therapy assignment
• Start Date: September 21, 2026
• End Date: December 13, 2026
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour daytime shifts
• Schedule Options: Five 8-hour shifts, approximately 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., or four 10-hour shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; schedule may be adjusted based on department needs
• Call Requirement: On-call support for inpatient weekend evaluations, including 1-2 weekends during the assignment
• Float Requirement: None
• Work Environment: Collaborative rehabilitation department with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy professionals; one-on-one outpatient treatments with no double booking

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy required
• At least 2 years of Physical Therapist experience, including outpatient physical therapy experience
• Active Illinois Physical Therapist license
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Experience with outpatient physical therapy documentation
• Clinical experience treating orthopedic, geriatric, and neurological patient populations
• Strong patient assessment, clinical reasoning, and critical-thinking skills
• Manual therapy skills preferred
• Ability to assist with inpatient assessments when the inpatient therapist is unavailable
• Travel candidates must reside outside the 40-mile local radius
• Adaptable, dependable, resilient, and team-oriented approach to patient care

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate outpatient patients and develop individualized physical therapy plans of care
• Provide one-on-one physical therapy treatments for orthopedic, geriatric, neurological, and other outpatient diagnoses
• Deliver evidence-based interventions, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercise
• Complete accurate and timely outpatient therapy documentation
• Perform inpatient evaluations when needed to support continuity of care
• Participate in scheduled weekend on-call coverage for inpatient evaluation needs
• Collaborate with physical, occupational, and speech therapy colleagues to promote coordinated rehabilitation services
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safety, mobility, and progress toward functional goals
• Adjust treatment plans based on patient response, clinical findings, and changing care needs
