Operating Room RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Maine
- At least 1 year of recent operating room nursing or perioperative nursing experience
- Experience circulating and scrubbing in the operating room setting
- Ability to provide support in the recovery room as needed
- Strong communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and high-quality surgical nursing care
- CNOR certification preferred
- COVID-19 vaccination required
Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care throughout the perioperative period
- Circulate and scrub for surgical procedures according to established standards and protocols
- Assist in the recovery room when clinical needs require
- Coordinate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, nurses, surgical technologists, and other perioperative team members
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism
- Support organizational standards, values, and a culture of compassionate patient care
