Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910-$2,010

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of Emergency Room RN or Emergency Department RN experience required
• Recent emergency room nursing experience required
• Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years required
• Active Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required, or obtained within 6 months of hire
• American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurses Association Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (ENPC) certification required, or obtained within 1 year of hire
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification required, or obtained within 1 year of hire
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification or equivalent preferred
• Organization-approved workplace violence prevention training required, or completion by the last day of the month following the 90-day grace period

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide timely, safe, and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting with emergent and urgent conditions
• Perform focused emergency nursing assessments, monitor patient status, and promptly communicate changes to the care team
• Prioritize patient needs and coordinate care in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency department
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders, clinical protocols, and nursing standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support effective diagnosis and treatment
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and support continuity of care during patient transitions
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies while upholding patient safety, professionalism, and infection prevention standards
