Cardiac Stepdown Travel Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Morgantown, West Virginia

Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,180-$2,290
- Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Stepdown / Stepdown-MedSurg / Progressive Care
- Location: Morgantown, West Virginia
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nurse contract
- Start Date: October 2, 2026
- End Date: January 1, 2027
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts; weekends and holidays as scheduled

Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in West Virginia
- At least 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown, progressive care, telemetry, or acute-care med-surg nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including scheduled weekends and holidays
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
- BSN is not required
Cardiac Stepdown Travel Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac stepdown and medically complex patients
- Monitor patients for changes in cardiac rhythm and overall clinical status, and promptly escalate concerns
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders and established protocols
- Perform focused and comprehensive nursing assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and update individualized care plans
- Collaborate with providers, nursing colleagues, patients, and families to support coordinated acute-care delivery
- Promote patient safety, education, comfort, and continuity of care throughout the hospital stay
