ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Travel Nursing Contract in Antioch, California

Travel ICU RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,810-$2,960
- Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and critical care nursing

- Schedule: 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent nursing experience, preferably in an ICU or critical care setting
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or the state where care is provided
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Strong patient assessment, critical-thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate care during overnight shifts in a high-acuity ICU environment
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field
- Preferred: Two years of recent ICU nursing experience
- Preferred: NIH Stroke Scale certification and CCRN certification
- Preferred: Experience with dialysis, SLED, or equivalent therapies
ICU Nursing Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive registered nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU
- Assess patient conditions, recognize changes in clinical status, and escalate concerns promptly
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring for therapeutic response
- Manage and monitor advanced equipment, invasive lines, and life-support therapies as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate treatment plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families while providing compassionate support throughout the care experience
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and compliance with clinical and hospital standards
