CT Technologist Travel Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,170-$2,330
- Location: Mason City, Iowa
- Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based CT scan department
- Employment Type: Travel contract
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks, ending January 17, 2027
- Schedule: 40 hours per week; 10-hour day shifts
- Shift Window: Schedule may vary between approximately 6:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and 7:45 a.m.-8:15 p.m.
- Work Setting: On-site
CT Technologist Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital or comparable diagnostic imaging setting
- Current CT Technologist certification or equivalent professional credential
- Valid Iowa state-required license or authorization to practice, as applicable
- Demonstrated knowledge of CT imaging procedures, patient safety, and radiation protection
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
- Strong communication, organization, and patient-service skills
- Ability to meet facility onboarding and competency requirements
CT Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform computed tomography examinations according to established protocols and provider orders
- Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain examinations, and promote comfort and cooperation
- Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently while producing high-quality diagnostic images
- Evaluate images for technical quality and obtain additional views when appropriate
- Follow radiation safety standards and maintain accurate patient and procedure documentation
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to support timely patient care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital imaging environment
