Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nurse Job in Albany, NY

Travel RN Job Details
- Location: Albany, New York
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,310-$2,440
- Assignment Dates: October 26, 2026 through January 3, 2027
- Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
- Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts
- Shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
- Healthcare Setting: On-site Emergency Department
- Charting System: EPIC experience required
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required
Emergency Department RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in New York
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in an Emergency Department setting
- Demonstrated ability to assess and prioritize patients in a high-acuity emergency care environment
- EPIC electronic medical record experience is required
- Ability to work scheduled 12-hour night shifts and maintain 36 hours per week
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Professional references and required travel nurse onboarding documentation
Emergency Department Travel RN Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and promptly identify changes in patient condition
- Prioritize care for patients with a wide range of emergent and urgent medical needs
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established protocols
- Monitor patient responses to interventions and communicate changes to the appropriate care team members
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and support staff to coordinate emergency care
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EPIC
- Provide patient and family education while delivering compassionate care during stressful situations
- Support a safe, organized, and efficient Emergency Department environment
