This 12-week physical therapy contract offers the opportunity to treat adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients ages 13 and older in a 60-bed rehabilitation facility serving individuals with neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and debility-related conditions. Physical Therapist Job Details

• Location: Springfield, Missouri
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient rehabilitation facility
• Position: Travel Physical Therapist (PT)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030-$2,190
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks, ending December 28, 2026
• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Schedule: Approximately 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., as assigned
• Call: None required
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 7:1
• Dress Code: Black scrubs

Physical Therapist Job Requirements

• Current Physical Therapist license eligible for practice in Missouri
• At least 2 years of Physical Therapist experience
• Inpatient rehabilitation or skilled nursing facility experience required
• Strong clinical skills in treating neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, and debility-related conditions
• Ability to provide physical therapy care for adolescent patients ages 13 and older, adults, and geriatric patients
• Excellent teamwork, communication, accountability, and professional work ethic

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy plans of care
• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions to improve strength, balance, mobility, endurance, and functional independence
• Treat patients recovering from neurological injuries, orthopedic conditions, cardiac events, and general debility
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, patients, and families to support safe and effective discharge planning
• Document patient assessments, treatment progress, goals, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
• Use available rehabilitation technology and equipment, including body-weight support systems and robotic therapy devices, when clinically appropriate
• Promote patient engagement and confidence throughout the inpatient rehabilitation process
