Job Description
PM&R Physician – Interventional MSK/Spine – Stamford CT / Westchester NY
Build Something Special. Not Just Another Clinic.
A well-established, rapidly growing surgical group (25+ years in business) is adding a PM&R physician (Physiatrist) to help build a high-volume interventional MSK/spine + pain program across the tri-state. The platform is already in place–ASCs, patient acquisition/marketing, employer partnerships, payer contracts, and strong ops support–and they’re looking for the right physician to help lead the next phase of growth alongside an established ortho + spine team.
The Opportunity
This is a procedural, ASC-supported role where you’ll serve as the front door for MSK patients and help build an internal referral pipeline to their total joint, general ortho, and spine surgeons.
You will:
- Evaluate and treat MSK/pain conditions (back/neck pain, radiculopathy, joint pain, neuropathy, sports-related MSK issues, post-op needs)
- Perform workups (H&P, imaging; EMG/NCS as indicated)
- Deliver interventional procedures including:
- Epidurals (ESI/TFESI)
- Facet injections, MBB + RFA, SI injections
- Peripheral/genicular blocks, trigger points
- Large-joint injections, viscosupplementation, PRP
- Coordinate conservative plans (PT/OT, bracing, meds) and collaborate closely with ortho/spine surgeons
- Help grow referrals and clinical pathways in-market
Requirements
Required: MD/DO; ACGME PM&R residency; ABPMR BC/BE; high-volume interventional MSK/spine experience (fluoro + ultrasound-guided); NY and/or CT license + DEA.
Preferred: Pain/Interventional Pain fellowship; ASC-based/high-volume practice experience; growth-minded/program-building.
Compensation & Benefits
- Total compensation can exceed $1M, which consists of a competitive, guaranteed base compensation + significant bonus potential that is tied to both professional and ASC-related revenue streams
- Signing bonus and relocation assistance
- Milestone-based bonus opportunities
- Comprehensive family medical benefits
- Occurrence-based malpractice coverage
- 401(k) with employer match
- Five weeks PTO
- Annual CME and professional development allowance
