Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,220-$1,310

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a hospital or acute care setting
• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; CRT candidates will not be considered
• Active North Carolina Respiratory Therapist license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Ability to provide respiratory therapy in adult, pediatric, neonatal, and critical care environments
• NRP certification preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Flexibility to float between assigned units and support changing patient-care needs

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions
• Provide respiratory care across adult, pediatric, neonatal, and critical care service lines
• Manage and monitor invasive and noninvasive ventilatory support
• Deliver oxygen therapy and high-flow respiratory support using a variety of hospital equipment
• Respond to changes in patient condition and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• Support emergency, critical care, and inpatient respiratory therapy needs
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Cerner
• Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-focused care environment while floating throughout the hospital
