Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract in Smyrna, TN

Travel Nursing Job Details

Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- Ability to provide safe, effective patient care during 12-hour night shifts
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families
- Commitment to professional nursing standards, patient safety, and quality care
Travel RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients throughout each shift
- Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor changes in patient status and promptly communicate significant findings to appropriate care team members
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with clinical standards
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and support positive patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge needs
- Promote a safe, respectful, and patient-centered care environment
