Travel ER Nurse Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,960 – $2,280 (Competitive pay for Travel RN, ER)
- Location: Pittsburgh, PA 15243 (Pittsburgh healthcare jobs, Pennsylvania nursing jobs)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: June 15, 2026 (or earlier)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (Travel RN, overnight ER)
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel, On-Site (Emergency Room RN, ED Nurse)
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented emergency department
Key Responsibilities (Emergency Department RN)
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Room / ED for acute and urgent presentations
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patient needs using ED protocols
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; monitor responses
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient-centered care
- Monitor patient progress, document care accurately in the medical record
- Respond to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions (CPR, airway management, stabilization)
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
