Travel Healthcare Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,470-$1,580
• Location: Austin, Texas 78756
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: August 31, 2026
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, 6:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
• Call Requirement: One weeknight of call per week and one weekend per month; weekends are part of the call rotation
• Position: 1 opening

CVOR Surgical Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent CVOR experience as an Operating Room Technician or Surgical Technologist
• Recent experience supporting open-heart, vascular, and endovascular procedures
• CST or ORT certification required
• Strong knowledge of cardiovascular operating room procedures, surgical instrumentation, and sterile technique
• Availability to participate in the required weeknight and weekend call rotation
• Dependable, punctual, flexible, and committed to teamwork

CVOR Operating Room Technician Responsibilities

• Prepare the cardiovascular operating room, instruments, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures
• Provide sterile field support during complex cardiovascular, vascular, and endovascular surgeries
• Assist with procedures including CABG, aortic and mitral valve repair or replacement, open and endovascular AAA procedures, AV fistula creation or revision, TAVR, TMVR, MitraClip, and related interventions
• Safely handle and maintain surgical instruments and specialized equipment, including video towers, cautery systems, surgical tourniquets, IABP and Impella consoles, cryotherapy systems, and patient warming and cooling equipment
• Maintain accurate counts and uphold infection prevention, sterile technique, and operating room safety standards
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the perioperative team
• Respond to assigned weeknight and weekend call needs
