CT Technologist Job Details

CT Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist in a hospital or acute-care setting
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to perform diagnostic CT imaging procedures safely and accurately
- Strong knowledge of patient safety, radiation protection, and contrast screening protocols
- Ability to work independently during evening and overnight shifts
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
CT Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to established imaging protocols
- Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain examinations, and provide compassionate patient care
- Operate GE CT scanners and verify image quality before completing studies
- Screen patients for safety considerations, including allergies, medical history, and contrast-related risks
- Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation in Meditech and GE Centricity
- Follow radiation safety standards, contrast protocols, and department policies
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe diagnostic imaging environment
