PCU Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Nursing Job – Night Shift in Wichita Falls, Texas

PCU Travel Nurse Job Details
- Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / PCU Float / Telemetry
- Location: Wichita Falls, Texas
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,820-$1,910
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending January 18, 2027
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
- Shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.; 3×12-hour or 4×12-hour schedule
- Schedule Requirement: Must be agreeable to an alternating 36/48-hour schedule, totaling 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse assignment

- Charting: Epic experience preferred
PCU Travel Nurse Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand before the start date
- At least 2 years of progressive care, stepdown, PCU, DOU, IMC, or telemetry nursing experience
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- NIHSS certification or competency documentation as required for submission
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients
- Ability to float to medical-surgical units and the emergency department for holding patients
- Flu vaccination required; approved medical or religious exemptions may be considered
- Availability to complete required laboratory items within 72 hours of accepting an offer, or an established completion plan
PCU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care and telemetry setting
- Monitor patients with complex medical conditions and promptly recognize changes in clinical status
- Administer medications, perform nursing assessments, implement care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Support PCU overflow and provide care for emergency department holding patients when assigned
- Float to medical-surgical and related units according to staffing and patient-care needs
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective treatment
- Accurately document patient care and clinical information in the Epic electronic medical record when applicable
- Maintain compliance with unit, facility, and professional nursing standards
